Dr. Shaun Whitney- Repair of resorptive lesion
- Tooth was treated endodontically prior to surgery by restorative dentist. It was noted during pre-op that a lingual canal may have been missed. Since canals converge at the apex, the effect of this was thought to be negligible in regards to overall prognosis.
- Care was taken to excise entire lesion
- Glass ionomer would have been the preferred restorative material, but was not available at this surgery due to technical difficulties. Highly polished resin was used instead. Because of this, we do not expect any reattachment of long junctional epithelium.
