Mayo Erickson
November 13, 1918 - December 11, 2008
Memorial Services for Mayo Hallsten Erickson, DDS will be Saturday, December 20th 2008 at 1 PM at St Mark's Lutheran Church, 316 E 24th Avenue, Spokane, WA.
Dr. Erickson, was born in Sheyenne, North Dakota. He was a Spokane resident for 54 years. He graduated from the University of North Dakota, and Northwestern Dental School in 1943. He served three years in the US Army during World War II. Later he established a dental practice in Richland, WA. In 1954 he moved to Spokane and practiced dentistry until he retired in 1991.
Summers he enjoyed Coeur D'Alene Lake living, gardening and playing golf. During the falls he enjoyed hunting.
Mayo was a longtime member of St. Mark'sLutheran Church, the district and state Dental Organizations and the El Katif Shrine.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Elaine; one daughter and four sons: Camille Haskins and Pat (Curtiss and Eric) of Spokane, Steve and Karen Erickson (Juliana, Connor, Annaka) of Outlook, WA, Doug and Leslie Erickson (Mark, Jillian) of Woodinville, WA, Eric Erickson of Beaufort, South Carolina, Dr. Todd and Ann Erickson (Luke) of Orlando, Florida. Other family members include a sister, Jean Barclay; and two brothers, Don and Dr. Robert Cook in North Dakota.
