There was a lot of talk in the club meeting about different approaches that could be taken here, including a free gingival graft with donor tissue from the palate. In the end, Kirk opted for the pedicle. What is not easy to see in the photos is the extent of the split thickness flap, allowing tissue to rotate and sit passively over the root surface. The sling suture at the end is also a nice touch to really tack everything into place.
